Hans and Ashley met on a September afternoon in 2015 when Hans waltzed into subway in search of a sandwich. The two struck up a conversation which ended with Ashley telling her co-worker all about ‘cute philosophy boy’ and Hans telling his friends about ‘subway girl.’ A few weeks and several sandwiches later, that co-worker gave Ashley’s number to Hans.
The two had their first date in the ceramics lab and secret garden at Arizona State University where they were both students. A few days later, on October 2, 2015 Hans asked Ashley if she wanted to make things Facebook official.

Since 2015, Hans and Ashley have visited 17 states, acquired 4 degrees, moved 1,824 miles, and watched the Phoenix Suns live 4 times.
They spend their time together going to concerts, cooking, exploring, and loving on their many pets.
They are big fans of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and love to dress up for Halloween together.
